It was whilst working in the photo lab trade that Spudd developed a passion for the accidents and mis-happenings inherent in the photographic process. This led to later experimenting with camera-less photography, fogging paper in a darkroom, contact prints of photocopies and making photograms. Aside from that Spudd also dabbles in conventional photography, lomography, illustration, animation, digital art and music.
